tips for healing scars
I read many posts about many of you who are having surgeries, so I thought I would share a tip on what helped me with healing up faster. As always, ask your Dr. first to be sure this is safe for you in your situation. 1. Look at Wal Mart or CVS, Smoothie King, or some other pharmacy for liquid protein supplements (look…

Re Aromatase Inhibitors: Do muscle and joint aches begin within the first month?
I began taking Arimidex five days ago. My oncologist said that I will know within a few weeks whether or not I can tolerate the side effects. I'm wondering how soon others have felt the strongest side effects from these drugs?

Here I am at day 5 after treatment number 3 and am finding that this round has kind of knocked me on my butt!! I took off teaching…

Did you feel the love last night??
As I was lighting my candle for Lesley I felt this overwhelming sense of love that we all have for each other. I could picture candles being lit one by one all over the country for her and the warmth and light from each one. I felt communal in love and in spirit with Lesley and all of us. Not to pat ourselves on the back…

Dissolveable stitches?
A friend of mine that just recently had a lumpectomy had dissolveable stitches, but, she says there are still 2 hanging out. I think it's been about a month or so since her surgery. Has anyone had this happen, and if you did, what did you do? I told her to call her plastic surgeon and I was sure he could cut them off or…

Book of the month
Just finished Room by Emma Donoghue. It was awesome. The narrator of the entire book was a 5 year old boy who has never been out of a room that he and his mom are being kept prisoner in by a psycho. It is so amazingly written. I couldn't put it down--it was like go away world, I have to finish this. Has anyone else read it?
