Chemo question
My sister is receiving 4 tx's of TC, 3 weeks apart. Should she expect the side effects from the treatments to change much? She's had one treatment so far... will each one get progressively worse? I assume she will get more fatigued. Thanks a bunch in advance!

Dee1962 I have a Question for you
Dee, how invasive was your first diagnosis if I may ask? Where you identified as having a potential recurrance? If so, did the doc say anything like [you have a 20% change of recurrance!]? I have been out of care since 07, which really isn't long, but diagnoised in 02. I don't let recurrance control my life but as for…

5FU, Cytoxan, Epirubcin, and Neulasta..O my
Today I started 5FU, Epirubicin, and Cytoxan (FEC) for 4 cycles. The next day is my Neulasta injection. I feel I did pretty well with 12 weeks of Taxol. Hopefully, these 4 cycles will have mild symptoms. Has any one here had FEC?

Trying to find my mojo
I am a generally upbeat positive person; acually been accused of being too happy! I have always believed you should be greatful for the blessings you have, I rarely complain and always have chosen to not dwell on the negative in life....even when tragedy struck with horrors such as my son dying, dad comitting suicide, etc.…

implants not looking the same as real breasts
Hey I just returned home from having implants and nipples on Wednesday. I am a little disappointed. Right now they are banaged up. But the acutal shape looks different than what I thought it was going to look like. Maybe they are still swollen, and again they are banaged. They look sort of large and flat to me. The cut my…

DCIS and bone scans?
I have had quite a bit of pain (chest, neck, arm and back) for the last few weeks and (of course) am worried that it is a reoccurance. I told my oncologist about it and he said that they don't usually order bone scans for people diagnosed with DCIS. I'm just wondering if anyone else with DCIS has had a bone scan done and…

I have had chemo before surgery. I finished 12 weeks of Taxol last week. This week I start FEC for a total of 4 cycles. Today I was told the tumor is responding. Has anyone else been over 20 years before a recurrence?
Sometimes I feel like a freak having been 22 years in remission. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for every day and I know that many wish that they could have that long of a remission. However, I have not bumped into one other person who went that long before a recurrence. I asked my oncologist about it and he said that…

Every Victory is Worth a Celebration!
Okay, so I'm 10 months post lumpectomy and axillary node dissection, 5 months post-chemo, 3 months post rads. Have a seroma, pain and swelling on the "bad" side. Had a mammo and ultrasound today of the good side. The great news is--totally normal study. I see my surgeon next week to determine when we re-examine the "bad"…
