I will be walking this Saturday in Jacksonville Beach, FL. I did this walk for the first time last year and am hoping the weather is as good this year. Our walk is a 5K on the beach.
i live in Jacksonville. I've not done this particular walk, but I've done the Gate River Run for the last 2 years (didn't have cancer then, different charites.) Anyways maybe I could meet you there before or after, as I don't know that I have the stamina just yet as I'm still in treatment. Let me know what you think.
Peace and Love to us all,

Edie, I am walking with the ladies from my Jazzercise class. We will meet at the center that is just down the street from the start of the walk. I would love to meet you there. I walked last year and had 1 more chemo treatment. We aren't walking to break any records so speed is not required. That's awesome that you have participated in the Gate River Run. I have admired those participants, from the sidelines. LOL. -
Jones Beach??? I LOVED that
Jones Beach??? I LOVED that place as a kid! I am originally from Long Island, and my family used to have a summer home on Point Lookout~ I have the best childhood memories from there.
Our Making Strides was in May, so I walked already! I live in Central California, in the wine country, and the walk was through the lovely vineyards of Fess Parker's winery. A beautiful venue for a great cause, to be sure!
Have a great time!
Hugs,

You can go on line www.cancer.org/stridesonline and put in your zip code and the site will direct you to a walk in your area.
I'm walking in Hartford, CT on Sunday with a group from my cancer center.

I will be
supporting all of you. I know walking is the best for my osteoarthritis but my knees and lumbar have done me in and I'm stuck with my recumbent bike. However, being a former cheerleader I'm sending out a cyber CHEER to all of you and saying thanks. I walked in the Race for the Cure in New Britain, CT 6 years ago and hope to some day be healthy enough to do it again.

I'll Be Walking in Hoffman Estate, IL
this coming Sunday. It's only the 3rd year they've done it in Hoffman Estates. It's a NW suburb about 40 miles from downtown Chicago. I walked it with a girlfriend last year and we both really liked it. You don't have to fight all the crowds like down in the city. Plus, I won't have to get up at 4 A.M. to get to the city to make the walk on time! LOL. Yeah...I'm lazy! LOL.
Will be thinking of all of you as I walk!
Blessings,
Sally -

October 23rd our team Hope
October 23rd our team Hope for Heather will be walking in South Bend, IN. I got the best news on my birthday from one of my childhood friends who I keep in touch with on Facebook - she works at Kohl's, and they got a grant to donate $500 to my team for the walk
*hugs*

Walking in LI!
Hi Bob..
My family will also be walking in Long Island @ Jones Beach in support of my AMAZING mother - who just finished chemo last month and begins radiation shortly for Stage II BC. She just had her first mammo and all was benign...really gives us a reason to celebrate this Sunday!!!!!
