It is true and it is very sad that a very young girl will have to experience the pain (physical and emotional)of going through the surgery and treatment. I am really sad and also angry that cancer is so vicious that…

Gentlemen, please respond...
The topic was brought up about those of us women who have begun to pay attention to other women's breasts for various reasons. I was just wondering if any of you gentlemen have had similar reactions since your diagnosis, or if it's just a "girl thing". Thanks, seof.

I thought I would try and post them here too. This is just some of the "I Dream of Jeanne" team. Most of them were walking and wouldn't stop. lol It was moved to the gym as the weather wasn't cooperating. But, it cleared up and some of it was still outside. This was after my last radiation treatment, # 37! This is one of…

Hi. I'm new.
This is my first visit to this website and I am amazed at all the information and support. I began my TCH chemo treatments in December and finished about a month ago. I think that I have really lost my mind so if anyone happens to find it. Please give it back. What the heck is with this lack of memory? I completed chemo 1 year ago (April 3rd) and I keep thinking that it is going to get better but it doesn't. Actually I did think that I was doing better but now the past couple of weeks I…

Farah Fawcett
I wonder if anyone else is having a reaction to the news about Farah Fawcett (they say her death is imminent). It's not even the same type of cancer, but I have been SO depressed since hearing about this. I had stage I cancer, but BRCA positive, but after listening to the Farrah Story, I keep on thinking how this could be…

I Finished Radiation Treatments!!!!!
I had my last radiation treatment today! 37 total, 25 to the entire area and 12 boosters. These last few "boosters" were the worse. I am soooooooooo glad they are finally over. I am really tired and I hope my energy will return soon. My breast is burnt, since the lumpectomy site is right on it. So, it is burnt, blistered…

One more time/what happens when you stop AIs
No one responded to my post about this, so I'll try again: I've only been taking Femara, but I'm already wondering: so what happens in 5 or 10 years (new research shows we might have to be on this stuff longer) when we stop taking our aromatase inhibitors? Does all the estrogen come back and then put us at risk? Do the…

Hello to all my fellow breast cancer warriors! I have been to this site almost daily and have read a lot of good and comforting advise by all you wonderful women. It's Official...
It's official. As of today, my doctors have declared me fit as a fiddle. This marks my one year anniversary since completing treatment. Needless to say, I'm very relieved and happy. Now if the antidepressant they prescribed agrees with me and works, I may truly believe that I'm on the road. Thanks for listening to me.…

it's another The good news: After 5 months of unemployment (and I'm a nurse) during this journey, I have a job! I will be working and living on the Navajo reservation in New Mexico.
