Elizabeth Edwards had my surgeon
I am reading her book "Saving Graces" and was surprised to read that Barbara Smith was also the one who told her that she had breast cancer. Dr. Smith is an angel and I've always had the utmost trust in her and it was nice to read that Elizabeth felt the same way about her. What a remarkable woman Elizabeth was and how…

Anyone have any good (easy) appetizer recipies?
I am not known for my great cooking skills. Last appetizer I made was little smokies in BBQ sauce. Something that possibly doesn't need to be warmed, maybe. Thanksgiving at my daughter-in-law's mom's house. And she's a dynamite cook. Thanks,Cindy

New nipple update
Just an update. Had my nipple (left breast) done the same day as my exchange surgery. My plastic surgeon told me husband to warn me that the nip would be bigger at first (because it was swolen). Needless to say, I was a little afraid to take a look. It really wasn't that bad and is actually looking kind of good 11 days…

Met with radiologist this afternoon.
He was very comforting and thorough in explaining why he thinks I need radiation. I had bilateral mastectomy in June and my tumor edge was very close to the pectoral muscle and my chest wall. Thank goodness I didn't have any lymph node involvement. He feels that I need 5 weeks of radiation. I go for my CT scan and mapping…
