Close to 10" of snow and more daily. Could be worse (could be better)! How about your neck of the woods?

I live in New York, southern central
It's supposed to get down to 8 degrees by Thursday and then a mixed bay of precip over weekend. I can live with the snow and the cold, but I hate sleet and freezing rain.

Just cold cold cold. Way too cold this time of the year, although we did get about 14" of snow last year around this time. South central NY? I have a brother in Oneonta, is that near you? He says it never stops snowing, at least some flurries or snow almost every day all winter long. And he wants me to move where??????? I think not, Florida is my retirement dream.

    Big surprise, we're having
Big surprise, we're having the same weather as you. (We're about 75 miles from each other). But, places like Albany which are about 100 miles away haven't been hit yet. Go figure!

I think that we've had close to 3 feet in the last four days.

    Teena,
    A little farther

    Teena,
A little farther north in South Bend, Indiana, it's a balmy 8 degrees this morning.....I have 2 sick girls home with mom today & we're all bundled up in our warm fuzzy blankets. The snow has stopped today, though, after coming down for 3 days. I love how people forget how to drive in the snow each year!!
    *hugs*

It has been in the 50's and 60's for highs and 30's and a few upper 20's for lows pretty normal for this time of year. No snow, probably will not be any this year, we got snow several times last year really unusual here. God Bless

    Joyce,
Syracuse made the national NBC news tonight. So many hours of non-stop snow, brief break and, surprise!, more snow. Are you getting the big horrible band of Lake Effect tonight?

    Winter came some time ago
Actually this Fall has been a bit warmer overall than a lot of years. However we have been into the minus F several times - one day stayed below 0F and several have stayed below 10F. wind chills have already been in the -20's several days.

Hubby has to go pick up 3 big round bales tomorrow so had to take the car trailer to get them. He got off early today so decided to check on it today. Well - to get it hooked up he had to dig the tongue out of the drift just to hook up and go in sideways to get to it. Then had to drag it out of the drift - good to have 4 wheel drive and a 3/4t truck LOL.
