Six years
Although the reformat has rendered this forum a bit of a ghost town, I will fall back on an old pattern and note that yesterday was the sixth anniversary of my colectomy. At that time, with a major blockage, I had no idea if I would survive another day, no less another year. I figured if I could survive ten years, I would…

Hello, my fellow cancer survivors! I want to share this short 2-minute video with every one of this young man's recovery from cancer. He did not have head and neck cancer. But his story is just as much of a struggle and triumph as any of ours who have experienced the brutal H&N treatment. Mark was diagnosed with Hodgkin…

I was not and even after reading the CSN Privacy Policy I am not clear how that would or could happen. https://csn.cancer.org/discussion/324374/privacy-notice. 2.5cm mass in kidney -- Ok to wait 6 months for check?
I'm in my 50's. I just had a check with a urologist. They did an x-ray and noticed a 2.5cm mass on one of my kidneys. He didn't seem concerned, and said he wanted to wait 6 months to do a dye check to get more information. If it is something, wouldn't it make more sense to check it sooner than later? Why wait 6 mos? He…

Delay in raditaion treatments
Won't mention facilities here but one offered Photon radiation and the other Proton. Both had excellent results but Proton less damage to prostrate, organs and tissues. Problem I am having is waiting for treatment to begin. Having to wait 5 weeks for a PET Scan to be done before treatment can begin. This wait worries me…
