Advice on sleep meds anyone?
I'm in the midst of chemo and wondering how much sleep med. might be too much? I often walk around somewhat exhausted from lack of sleep, rather than take too much, but would love to hear some experiences from others...Am I wrong to think that taking Ambien or Atavan (generic name Lorazepam) more often now, could throw off…

Radiated on purpose as an infant in the 1950's, cancer developed years later
I was born in the 1950's and treated with radiation as a newborn. I weighed 9lbs. 6oz. and my mom was told I was too big and had an enlarged thymus and radiation was necessary to prevent me from growing to gigantic proportions. Years later it came out that many babies were treated with radiation. The doctors I've found who…

Nutrition after tooth extraction, several years post radiation for BOT Cancer.
I need to have a tooth pulled and a root canal on another tooth (RC shouldn’t matter). Since my radiation, which was four years ago, my main nutrition comes from 2 large smoothies, 4 total servings daily. Now I’m reading that after extraction I should avoid using straws, and avoid seeds. One of my smoothies has blueberries…

Possible cancer recurrence
I was treated for stage 3 tonsillar cancer in 2014. I had radiation for six weeks and have been cancer-free since. I recently noticed sudden weight loss, so I went to my regular doctor and he scheduled me for 3 CT scans with contrast from head and neck down to the pelvis. I feel confident that if cancer, it would be in the…

Lesions/moles without skin markings.
Hello. I just discovered a lesion/mole on my upper chest/shoulder area. It measures 4mm at the widest, and it is light brown in color. It's different from my other moles because it doesn't have skin markings like my other moles do. I don't know if it's a lesion or a mole. It is slightly raised out from the skin. It does…

I'm looking for conversation to help me thru this process.

Does this worrying diminish somewhat for those of…

How to battle late effects
Hello, I’m new. It’s been validating to know I’m not alone even if the posts are old. Sadly I can relate to so many of them. I’m a survivor of leukemia over 5 years dealing with a ton of late effects of treatment. I’ve gone through chemo, radiation, and a BMT. And I vaguely remember a 3 page list, front and back, of oral…
