Recently diagnosed with Gleason score of 9
My biopsy last week revealed a few fives and sixes but the ugliest was a score of 9. The strange thing though is my PSA score of 5 about six months ago. Because of the high Gleason score, my urologist suggested the DaVinci surgery and a second opinion. After numerous recommendations and a consultation with Dr. Kawachi at…

Concerning for malignancy on Liver ultrasound report
I’m new here and hoping to get some information. I recently had an abdominal ultrasound due to mild, off/on abdominal pain. everything was normal except a 3.4 cm mass on the left lobe of my liver. Ultrasound report stated, “concerning for malignancy” so needless to say I am a wreck. My doctor put through an “urgent” CT…

Is post radiation heartburn common?
I’m 19 months post radiation for base of tongue cancer. Radiation killed the cancer as well as some taste buds and saliva glands. Because of dry mouth and that damn “velcro” at the back of my tongue I still have trouble eating most real food that seems to turn into sawdust and doesn’t want to go down. So I’m still living…

Has anyone ever just walked away mid-treatment?
Somewhat of a rant (sorry) but frustrated (try to condense this): Stage 1 anal cancer. Doctors came up with my generic treatment before my scans were even done saying the "5 weeks of radiation and two weeks of chemo" are standard now for this (stages 1,2 and maybe more it seems). I don't see how one cookie-cutter treatment…
