How is the Gleason score summed?
Hi everyone. I just received a diagnosis of prostate cancer and have a question about how the Gleason score is summed up. Is it the score of your worst biopsy core or the sum of ALL of your cancer-positive cores? For example, in my case I have 3 positive cores. 3 + 3 3 + 4 4 + 3 Would my overall Gleason score be 4 + 3 or 3…

Does anyone have scar tissue or lumps under their lumpectomy scar?
I have noticed that I have one lump under my lumpectomy scar. It might have been there for awhile and I just didn't notice it. Is it probably just scar tissue? Do the rest of you have any scar tissue or are your incisions free of it? Leeza

Hyperbolic activity in left upper lobe
Had a PET scan on 6/4 that indicated activity in the left upper lobe measuring up to 2.6 cm with a SUV max of 7.4. I’m wondering if I need to wait for a biopsy before discussing changing my treatment plan? my concern is the SUV max of 7.4 is highly hyperbolic. my biopsy is scheduled for two weeks 6/18/2024

Two years ago, I had an MRI fusion biopsy which was positive for cancer, gleason of 7 (3+4) which was sent away for DNA testing which showed the cancer was slow growing. My PSA is 6.5. Issues and care years after treatment ??
Hello I had Hodgkins back in 2008 and 2012. I was treated with AVBD and ICE and an auto SCT. I also had rituximab in 2008 (study) and in 2019 for what was likely an autoimmune disease ITP or maybe B cell lymphoma. I’m sure there is a case study on that one somewhere. Never had radiation treatment. Since 2020 I have been…

And my WBC have never rebounded either. My last test showed 2.9/uL when it should be 4.0. Does it ever get better?

Regular Scans for Watchful Maintenance - Patient Advocacy NEEDED!
Hello, I was recently made aware of the fact that many uterine cancer patients are not getting regular scans because "the research shows that they don't extend long-term survival." Those are generalized quotes that I heard from a couple of doctors. However, those same doctors tell me that liquid biopsies are not really up…
