In-bore MRI Biopsy vs Fusion Biopsy

I need a prostate biopsy for a Pi-Rads 4 lesion. UT Southwestern can schedule an in-bore MRI biopsy only in 2 months; a fusion biopsy can be done sooner. Is it worth waiting?

I would ask how confident your Urologist is in targeting the lesion(s) seen on MRI. If he or she feels they can get to them with confidence, in my humble opinion, I don’t think the MRI in bore biopsy is going to offer a great advantage.

    Good luck,

    Hi,

Have to agree with jc5549, either one should be fine in the hands of an experienced technician.
