Advice re biopsy
Hoping for a little advice, first my history; I’m 51 post menopausal, have 3 kids had 4 miscarriages, Mom had breast cancer. I’ve had cramping for a while and pain in the tops of my legs, I then had some spotting so went to obgyn, had transvaginal scan which showed cyst in cul de sac and thickening of lining at 6.3. Dr told me not to worry about cyst and to go in for biopsy but nothing to worry about. I’m still cramping and have been googling too much! First how does he know cyst is fine from scan and secondly I’ve read too many times that biopsy isn’t great at picking anything up. Do I push for d and c or just do biopsy and wait and see. Thanks!

joh, I have a few questions for you.
- What do you mean by cul de sac?
- The Dr IS doing a biopsy of the cyst?
It is good to see you are being your own advocate, and there can be a link between breast and uterine cancer, and with your mother having had breast cancer the concern is real. I think you should ask more questions, and maybe a second opinion, but be careful of Dr Google!
