Didn't think it was important..
I still have imposter syndrome, I was diagnosed with colon cancer back in 2021 Dec, had it removed Jan 25th 2022. It was stage three, but I have a 12 percent chance to get it again, so low risk. I didn't go through chemo or anything like that. So for me I figured it wasn't that bad, but when I look back at the photos, I…

Anemic diabetic female diagnosed with stage two, spread to stage three. What to expect?
hello i am asking this from the perspective of a person who knows somebody who has received this diagnosis. Chemotherapy treatment is also looking like a likely requirement. Help with building a watchful waiting gameplan
I am 3 weeks post-op for a right hemi-colectomy, with a Stage II, Grade 2 diagnosis. No spread to nearby organs visualized, and no involvement in 41 LNs resected, but there was LVSI seen in small vessel(s) but no large ones. So, T3N0. There was a single tumor, and it formed MSI-high (dMMR) and BRAF mutations, which,…

My journey into my worst fears
My journey into the unknown. About 45 days ago during a routine exam it was discovered that I had polyps in my colon, which isn’t abnormal for a person as young as I am. My PCP sent them to a lab for a biopsy. I get regular checkups so I wasn’t too concerned. About a week later I received a call from the doctor saying that…

What effect does a dextrose IV solution have on a pre-chemo fasted state?
I'm fasting to help with my chemo therapy (XELOX/CAPOX). My chemo drug is oxaliplatin, which is delivered in a dextrose (glucose) solution. What effect does intravenous delivery of glucose have on my fasted cellular state (eg. autophagy, etc.), as opposed to an oral intake of glucose? Does it wreck it just the same, or…

Recently diagnosed
Hi there. I was diagnosed with colon cancer approximately one week ago. My mom cried. My sister cried. I felt numb. Over this very short period, I’ve felt as though I’m having an out-of-body experience. It’s as if I’m watching a movie of someone else’s life. At times, I’ve thought to myself, “I have cancer. OK. No big…
