*Desperate*
I am a 52 yo woman who was told on 4/7/03 that the lump I felt was breast cancer. The surgeon gave me the choice of lumpectomy or mastectomy and because of the size of the tumor, I chose the mastectomy (surgery on 4/25/03). Decided to have tissue expander implanted for reconstruction (not a good candidate for flap, etc.…

Questioning The DNA Theory As The Origin Of Cancer
There appears to be two distinct processes from which a cell can be reproduced. The first method is by way of the cell replicating itself as outlined within that cells DNA. The second method is a slightly altered procedure whereby the bodys own immune system is sent to rapidly reproducing the surrounding tissues in an…

Update on my mother
I posted this past week before my mother underwent a needle biopsy for a lump. She did find out that it was cancer, fortunately slow growing (grade 1) and small (1 cm). She's seeing a surgeon on Monday. Even though it's unlikely that it would be recommended at this stage, she says she will refuse any chemo. I think we're a…

No Right to Grieve
My heart is breaking this morning and I can find no solace. There are those in my family (husband and mother-in-law) that feel I do not have the right to grieve for my father.
