Hi Michele, I was lucky too -- DCIS / stage 0. I had virtually no problems with 33 total rads also -- skin was a little pink and dry. (Used aloe vera gel faithfully as instructed.) Don't know that the boosts are stronger, but it's concentrated to just where tumor was located -- not the whole breast. On me, that smaller area was a little pinker than the rest of my breast. Nothing bad. After rads ended, my skin was just about normal within a month.
I'm on Tamoxifen too. After I was diagnosed, I started having broken sleep. (Always slept well before.) But also, after diagnosis I stopped taking Premarin cold turkey. (Hysterectomy years ago.) I thought broken sleep was due to stress of it all, but someone suggested the reason was probably stopping hormones. (Was also having night sweats, but no other menopausal symptoms. Sleep problems and night sweats lasted about 2 - 3 months.) I think by the time I got to rads, I was sleeping pretty well again. I don't think the Tamoxifen has caused me any sleep problems. Don't seem to be having any problems with it. Good luck and good sleep. Mary D.0
