Radiation after lumpectomy
Hi all, I am hoping to gain some insight to people who have had the 5 day radiation or the 15 day radiation. I was diagnosed with ILC ER & PR+, HER2-. in June of this year. I was initially staged as 1B. I had a lumpectomy and SNB on 8/25 where they removed a 3cm tumor. I received negative margins on my tumor, negative in…

Hello, I’m new to this - was diagnosed with infiltrating ductal carcinoma in August. Had a lumpectomy 4 weeks ago with clear margins and no lymph node involvement. Everything seemed to be healing well until Thursday of this week (exactly 4 weeks after surgery). I woke up with red/swollen breast that was suddenly tender and…

Cancer free so far
I was diagnosed in December 2021 with triple negative carcinoma in my right breast. I started chemo 2 days after Christmas. I had eight rounds of strong chemo and 19 rounds of radiation, then a lumpectomy. All that was finished in July 2022. So far I am cancer free. There is hope, friends! I am so thankful for my oncology…

New here waiting
I am going to Msk for a second opinion. MSK received all my information, reports and CD’s. I was told a nurse practitioner would review my tests, then video conference me, then send me to the radiologist for a biopsy. If it came back positive for cancer then I would be paired with a surgeon. I received a call from MSK.…

Hey guys! All of my aunts on my mom's side of the family had had breast cancer so I'm very worried. I found a small mole on my left areola a couple of months ago and didn't think anything of it, but recently just started thinking about it as I was looking at it the other day. Obviously Googled, which freaked me out even…

Yesterday, I had a Stereotactic Core Needle Biopsy - OUCH! I had a mammogram which looked suspicious, right breast only. Odd tingling/tickling/itching sensation behind just the right nipple

Do Not Want to Take Aromatase Inhibitors
Hi, I had a lumpectomy and am in the middle of radiation treatments. When radiation is complete it is recommended that I take aromatase inhibitors. Stage 1 invasive no lymph nodes. The Oncotype Dx test put me in the low risk category, but there is a percentage of reoccurance that is there. The AI's are suppose to cut that…

Survivor Guilt
This is my first post. I was dx in March with HR+, HER2- cancer in my left breast. It was from my first mammogram, and I was shocked because I have no breast cancer history in my family and am sort of young (42). We initially thought we'd get away with lumpectomy and radiation only, but pathology showed a tiny infiltrate…

Permanent hair loss after chemo
There's an attorney running a commercial here for class-action clients who have had chemo and suffered permanent hair loss. Supposedly, the drug company knows the probable outcome, but there are no warnings and there are other drugs that would work just as well. They do not name the drug or the drug company in the…
