tumor assay for chemo sensitivity
Just wondering if anyone has had the chemo sensitivity on their tumor done and if so, approx. when that was done and what the outcome was. One oncologist offered that to me as an option while another said that Medicare stopped paying for it when it didn't seem to be reliable so he didn't see any point in doing it. I…

Question for Clamryn (Linda)
Hi Linda, thanks for responding to my question about blood pressure medicine and Avastin. I'm really happy to hear that you're doing so well on Avastin. How fast did the Avastin start to work on you? I started on it end of Dec. 2010 along with Cytoxan and in March, there was still some tumor increases. So, the doc took me…

CA125
My CA125 is still in the "normal" range, but it has gone up exactly 2 points a month, for the last 3 months. Both my local gyn/oncologist and the gorgeous NY doctor seem unconcerned. Still....I hate it when it goes in this direction. DOWN, damn number....DOWN. It's now 13. Carlene

Mom given 6-12 months
Its PPC, and it is not responding to chemo. As a matter of fact, her gyn/onc said it has spread and there is a mass sitting on her liver. We are devastated and shocked. She is not a surgical candidate and clinical trials will not take her because of her deconditioned state. She is stoic and taking the news far better than…
