OT: Anybody watching Once Upon a Time?
Anyone else here watching the new show Once Upon a Time? It's on Sundays at 8:00, on ABC, and has become our family's new addiction. It's about a town in present-day Maine where all the residents are fairy-tale characters, but don't know it, because of a curse put on them by the Wicked Queen (who, naturally, is the town's…

Have y'all seen Heather's handsome dad?
I'm thinking our Heatherbelle could use some positive energy right now, so just wanted to say how much your new photo of you and your dad just always makes me smile. What a handsome guy your dad is! And he looks like he'd be just THE coolest grandpa to your little girls. Thanks for the smile, Heather! Traci

Any one else on levothyroxine (synthroid) and arimidex (or femara or armoasin)?
It appears that my endocrinologist and I have noticed a drug-drug interaction between synthroid and arimidex. I am hypothyroid and had been on the same 0.15 mg/day dose for >20 years. When I started arimidex, I began to be hyperthyroid and we slowly lowered my synthroid dose all the way down to 0.088 mg/day until I was…

Casual comment that can "make your day"
I was visiting with a group of women, mostly seniors like me, and a friend in the group asked me if I am into treatment yet. Nope not yet, but will have surgery Wednesday. A new woman to our group spoke up and said: "I had breast cancer 30 years ago." It was said so casual-like, and I think I was the only one…

Large Harvard Study: One drink a day is too much
I decided years ago to leave alcohol behind and have been pretty good about it. I currently drink about 4 drinks per year and feel guilty about that. Why? Because there is no good news out there about alcohol and breast cancer. The link has been studied ad nauseum since the 1980's and it is real. I now treat my loss of…
