OT - comfort food - Traci's pumpkin swirl brownies
Had to try Traci's recipe from the Comfort Food thread a couple of days ago. Awesome! I had to improvise a little. Found it hard to believe this close to Thanksgiving that Publix didn't have a pumpkin bread mix, but I used a gingerbread mix and added pumpkin pie seasoning to it. It was delicious! Hot out of the oven with…

Hi all, I'm afraid this one's a bit of a vent. Has anyone discovered that with their diagnosis came a "cancer door" or window? What I am referring to and am discovering is that MY business is no longer my choice as to with who, what details, when, or where it is shared. Because I knew no better, of course every step is…

Allergic Reaction to Taxotere?
Well after all the late end side effects from my first cytoxan/taxotere treatments I was ready to get number 2 over with. Cytoxan went in without a hitch so I was optomistic. About 8 minutes into the 60 minute taxotere, I started feeling really flushed, started coughing and couldn't breathe. The nurses immediately stopped…

DIEP flap vs implants
I spoke with a PS today regarding reconstruction. He seems to like the flap recon but said I am only a fair candidate because I don't have much tissue for reconstruction. I am also only a fair candidate for the implants because I had radiation only on the right so it may be hard to get them to match. The skin may not do…
