CA 125
I was concerned because of my CA 125 went from 7 to 44. It had been over 7000 before 3 rounds of chemo and debunking. After 3 more rounds of chemo it went to 7. Then with the blood work following all of that the marker was going up. The doctor explained that the marker will fluctuate for any number of reasons and stress…

Is it true that you have to get your silicone implants replaced every 10 years?
A woman in the bc support group was talking about the fact that she really hated having to exchange her silicone implants every 10 years. It is what her ps recommended. My story and looking for questions in preparation for surgeon consultation
My doctor has been monitoring my PSA for several years, thankfully. The last several years PSA readings have been relatively stable 3.096, 3.166, 4.231 , 3.826, … then 5.4. The reading of 3.86 was accompanied by a free PSA % of 13. And the free PSA % was the first alert that I need further examination. So off to the…

New here, CEA panic
My dad was diagnosed with stage 2b colorectal cancer in 2022. After chemo pills, radiation and me giving him ivermectin, the tumor disappeared. Before cancer his cea was 2.78. In January it was 1.11. We had a follow up in September of 2023 and his CEA was 2.9. Not great but it didn't concern me too much. Dad is almost 82.…

Hello all. A year ago today I had a tumor removed and started a 12 session chemo trip. That finally ended in December. Psa test freq following RT
I just finished post-RP salvage RT in January. My first PSA was about 3 weeks ago at 0.13 vs. 0.20 when RT was started. They have me scheduled for next psa in 6 months on basis that post RT the PSA should move real…

Stage 4 confusion about treatment/results
I am a little confused about treatment and what they can and can't do. Starting out it was made clear Stage 4 Prostate Cancer is not curable, but I could live for some number of years with it depending on how I respond to treatment. I accepted that but the more I learn the less I understand. My chemo if successful is…

Happy Birthday, if I may...
