3 years remission and on zepbound for weight loss
Well my ldh has been hovering around 174 for 3 years, and after an ER visit due to side affects (extreme lightheadness)from zepbound my ldh was 294. I asked for the test because they were running all kinds of blood tests for my heart. Including 2 images of my heart and lungs, All came back normal. Now I'm scared because my ldh jumped to 294. I have my 6 month follow up today but the last 2 days I have been so worried and all the cancer related journey I went through flashed through my head.

Many people with elevated LDH never develop cancer. Some folks with cancer have LDH within normal range. I underwent a transplant in 2015. The last time my LDH was normal was June 2016. Over the past two years, it has ranged from 250-423. No cancer. Same with men and PSA. Many men with high PSA never develop prostate cancer and many who develop prostate cancer have PSA within normal range.
Go to the gym and your LDH will be elevated, as it is a simple measure of tissue breakdown. Illness or injury? Same result: elevated LDH.
So, relax a bit, as a single factor out of many is no reason to freak out.
