What do you do with the "radioactive trash" after RAI treatments?
What did everyone do with the kitchen trash like the paper plates, cups, plastic drinking bottles, etc that were used during the RAI isolation time. Somewhere I read that after a certain amount of time they weren't radioactive any more but I cant find that article.

The Strange Introduction from Colorectal Cancer
Hello All, I wanted to post on the Thyroid thread as well... because... things just got weird. My dad is a Stage IV colon AND rectal cancer survivor (yes, he had two different types of cancer). Radiation destroyed both main tumors and he has some lingering spots in his lungs that aren't really doing anything. He had…

Depression
ive noticed myself becoming depressed and withdrawn. It first started about 5 weeks after the thyroidectomy. I've been off of Zoloft for depression for over a year and was doing great. Might this be the chemical imbalance returning or a physiological result from losing the thyroid. Anybody think it has more to do with not…

TSH Levels
I have had a thyroidectomy and RAI treatment and am now trying to get my levels where they need to be. However, I don't know what that is and I feel like my doctors don't know either. I was at .29 at the beginning of May and am now at .04, which I guess is pretty good considering I was at 172.74 in March. I feel really bad…
