Possible recurrence of Ovarian Cancer
I was treated for Ovarian cancer 12 years ago, breast cancer 10 years ago, and skin cancer 2 years ago. Last week my doc found a mass in the pelvic area and I'm terrified. I'm 66 years old and I don't think I have the emotional strength to go through more chemo and surgery. Chat rooms were extremely helpful while I was on…

Graviola, a plant found in Mexico said to cure cancer. Anyone heard of it or used it?
i have a friend who took this, he had prostate cancer, and is doing well. That is not ovarian cancer. Another friend has just heard about this and another is looking into it on mainstream Cancer sites. Of course they can't recommend it and give possible big side effects. I'm wondering if any of you have heard of this or…

anyone consuming soy/or soy lecithin?
Hello. I have read conflicting articles about comsuming soy with Ovarian Cancer and or Carcinosarcoma. Some articles say to stay away completely and others say soy is good, then others say soy is good but not soy supplementations that are in foods and such. My oncologist says eat anything I want. I don't of course. Do any…

Thanksgiving 2015
Dear Teal Sisters, Happy Thanksgiving from the Pacific North West! It is 17 degrees F and the winds are quiet. Last week we had 71 mph winds, a tree fell on our home and we have 8 broken roof trusses. But God is good, only property damage, all family and friends are safe. So, I am thankful for my husband, sons, family and…

My New Oncologist's Cutting-Edge Approach Is Saving My Life
“60 Minutes” ran a segment last night (you can find it online) about an oncologist and research scientist in LA – Dr. Patrick Soon-Shoing – who is championing a low-dose, multi-chemo approach to fighting cancer. This is exactly what my own oncologist, Dr. Howard Bruckner, has been doing with tremendous success for years.…

CA-125 Questions
Hoping somebody can help me decipher what the doctors are telling me about CA-125. What I'm hearing seems really contradictory. I am 2 years into this and had a 10 month NED period before a recurrence in November, 2014. CA-125 was always an excellent measure for me. * Was 207 before first surgery * After first chemo, was…

My Story---need advice
Hi everyone, I'm a Thy Ca survivor, with an undiagnosed ovarian mass. Long story short, they found a solid mass in my left ovary in March, were supposed to remove it in April, removed the wrong ovary, and I still have a mass 8 months later. All of my tests have come back indeterminate. Was wondering if anyone had any…

The chemo
I was just told by a friend who went through this, her last treatment was in March, that she developed floaters and flashes in her eyes. Pelvic Tumour
It seems the CA125 was telling the truth. I have a recurrence after 3 years cancer free. A pelvic mass, just waiting for MRI scan to confirm what it is. Prognosis not so good if it multi site. On the left side, so the same as before. For stage 1 it's disappointing especially as the consultant had been so positive. I go on…
