Update from the GreenHouse (Year 2? seriously?)
Ok...as you know, CA125 had jumped from 13 to 36. Big concern for me as it has more than doubled (however, still nowhere near the almost 10,000 it was at diagnosis!). Saw my med/onc. today. She says it's concerning but could just be a blip. (told me to stop smoking lol). Had another blood draw today and if it's still…

Oh god....what do you ladies think?
Hi I spoke to mum this morning and she thinks she needs the fluid drained. When she went the other week they wouldn't drain it, they don't like to do it unless it is really necessary , so some did remain in in there , she said she could live with it. I am scared , it had stopped filling up , and I am wondering if this…

Last month mom's ct/pet showed "no cancer" but CA125 had jumped to 168. Doctor was concerned and wanted to start second line chemo but gave mom a month off to recoup and decide if that's what she wanted. Last week terrible pain in stomach. What does this say about what people believe about Ovarian Cancer?
MANY times when people ask me what kind of cancer I have, and I answer "Ovarian." They respond with, "Well, at least they caught it early, you're doing great!" I find myself in the awkward position of having to say, "Well, actually they didn't, I was 3C." I struggle with being politely non committal, because I really don't…

Dear All, I've been "lurking" on this message board for some time. You all are amazing ladies. My mother was recently diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. San_Antonio_Lassie (Inspire board) has been in home Hospice for a month now. Her goal is to journal the details of the last leg of her journey, if it does turn out to be worst case scenario.
