Hi Nancy re: your CT scan

I was so happy to hear about your decrease in the implants and sorry to hear about your pain and the increase in ascites. I had my CT scan last month after 3 cycles of Avastin / Cytoxan and the results weren't too great. Only 1 implant decreased a little, the rest increased a little. I am now on Avastin / Topotecan. We were going to try Taxol but I had a reaction to it previously. I am also experiencing pain in my abdomen. Sometimes it's so bad, you could cry. But then it goes away for a while and then seems to come back. Oncologist doesn't seem to be that concerned and tells me to take pain meds. But, who wants to keep taking pain meds. Anyway, I have been thinking about you and am praying for you.
P. S. Are you still on the injectable blood thinner. I'm back on Fragmin, but I am going to tell the dr. I want to go back on the coumadin, I bruise so much with these injections, it isn't funny. I think part of the reason is I've been on blood thinners for over a year now. Anyway, hope to hear from you.

So sorry to hear about your pain and discomfort....my mother is having that as well as an inability to stand....the gyn/onc doesn't seem too concerned either,,,but I am concerned for all of you who are uncomfortable...Please keep us posted and let us know if you find anything that works.... -
pain
Like I said in my other post I am not celebrating this scan as good news until I find out whre the ascities is coming from. My gas pain has seem to decreased but I feel sooooo bloated and I can't eat. I am eithe uncomfortable or in pain. My surgeon too suggested pain meds. I dont want to go there yet as that will alter my life greatly...or at least I think it will. I am supposed to have chemo on Monday. They are unsure yet if it will be topo or taxol.
Yes I am still on injectable blood thinner witout problems. Sorry the injections are touch on you. Good luck with your new treatment!
