Then in 2015, I was diagnosed with lung cancer (SCC HPV+ again), for which I had full chemo-radiation a second time. In 2016, it started to bloom again in both lungs. I was offered a…

OK... here comes the question no one wants to ask...
Now that my husband is starting to feel better after his 8 monthbattle with SCC... sex is back in the picture. However, I don't know why, but I am very hesitant and nervous. I feel like since I took over the "caregiver" role, that my "drive" has literally "driven away"... Are there any other caregivers in this situation? I…

He was doing remarkably well. Back at work only 1 month after all his treatments. He called me a few weeks ago to say he noticed a lump on his testicle. June 13th he went back to the cancer centre and they did the tests to see if he was in remission etc. Two specialists came to see him. He has been complaining of a swollen…

Chemo effects duration
I can't find it again, but last night wandering around the internet I found a British site that referenced a study that stated that chemo commonly continued to present obvious effects at 9 months after end-of-treatment. Just thought it relevant... I'm still doing the Iranian BioXtra gel treatment regimen (at least twice…

Hello mucositis!
Well. That didn't take long. 3 chemos and 13 rads in and my mouth is killing me! Mainly back of throat. Gargling with baking soda & salt solution, biotene rinse and oragel rinse. Only helps for a few minutes it seems. I managed to suck down a spoon of honey and that brought some relief too. Anything else I can try? Keith

Over the hump today
Today was chemo #4 of 7 and radiation #18 of 35. Over the halfway point, but not without issues. On one hand I am happy as I now have less to do. On the other hand it's getting harder, rougher and tougher. Knowing the closer I get to the finish line the worse things will get. I am still dealing with low blood pressure. I…

Last summer my husband had 35 proton radiation treatments and 7 Cisplatin for HPV+ oropharyngeal cancer. This forum was extremely helpful for me during that time. Dry Mouth Woes
Something that plagued me since treatment finished on 21 April has been dry mouth. During the day it isn't so bad because a quick sip of water and you get a few minutes reprieve, and other sip and so on. At night, however it is a different story. Not so bad if you breathe through your nose while sleeping, but I'm a mouth…
