A wonderful day fishing.
Now that I can post again I wanted to share that Jim finally got his day out fishing. The nurse had said it was ok but only for 30 minutes. I cheated and let him stay an hour. We had to wait for the aid to bathe him so he was impatient to go. He was like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. My brother in law and a fishing…

Not cancer related....
but this was SO exciting for me. A friend bought a team of Belgians, and invited Greg and I to ride along on a wagon ride....he even let me drive them!! My respect for the Budweiser drivers has been upped about 10 notches.....this was only two horses, I can't imagine what it must be like to control 6, 8 or 10 at one time.…

In short: IMPRESSION: 1 Findings most suggestive of primary left tongue base tumor with metastatic left cervical lymphadenopathy. 2. No distant FDG avid disease. Pet Scan Results-Less than stellar
Well, the PET is done and every time I read the report it just seems uglier. Here are some quotes: Evaluation of the chest demonstrates multiple new hypermetabolic foci that are worrisome for malignancy. All of these finding could potentially be inflammatory/infectious; however unless there is a clear cut history of such a…

Help with mild thrush...
I could of posted this earlier, but now that it's worked 3 times for me, I'm going to share it. Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma
It it is hard to believe that it has been 3 years since I finished my rads, and so far am cancer free. I thank the Lord for his goodness. My energy has returned mostly. My tastebuds are 90%, things tend to not be as flavorful, and I don't eat many crackers, chips, since they are so dry - sort of like eating sawdust. And I…

The swelling/lump below my ear has disappeared now. I can prod about below my ear and it no longer hurts. I'm so relieved, it must have been an ear infection and now it's cleared on its own. I couldn't even sleep on it before. Thought I'd post this incase anyone else gets the same and worries, it isn't always the big C.

Several times over the last week things just seemed strange. Conditions must have been just right, because I forgot for a brief moment, I was a "Lary", and breath through my neck. My breathing seemed just as it did before I had problems [Cancer], I mean I felt like I was breathing through my nose, it seemed so real. I know…
