Been through it with no problems, feel free to ask questions..
Diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on my sphincter muscle back in 2010. My surgeon stated he was going for a cure, and told me he was going to give me five weeks of both radiation and chemo and I worked the entire five weeks. I took one nausea pill 30 minutes before I took my chemo pill and had no problems at home or work. I…

pain mgmt after surgery
I was recently in the hospital to remove two tumors that caused a blockage in my small intestine. They gave me the patient administered drugs (dialudid) after surgery, but after two days I stopped using them because I didn't like the way they made me feel--groggy and out of it. My doctor put me on IV Tylenol and…

I think I just dodged a bullet
I have just come home from a colonoscopy. I was not particularly happy when my GI told me at my last scope that I did not need another for three years. I thought that was too long but she insisted that i did not need one at two years. Unfortunately the cost of private health insurance in Australia has gone thru the roof…

What food to eat while on chemo therapy
I wonder if there's any limitations on what food to eat while on chemo therapy. Some says avoid red meat, eat vegetables rich in protein since our body needs energy while we're under treatment. Anyone's opinions and advices are appreciated....

Chronic Diarrhea-so tired on dealing with this 4 years after treatments
In 2013, I had radiation, rectalectomy, ileostomy, take down of the ileostemy 2 months later, and chemo. They tell me I'm well now but the side effects are nearly unbearable. Erbitux / Vectibix 0% effective??
Recent information indicates that for approximately 43% of us with metastatic colon cancer, all the EGFR inhibitor drugs such as Vectibix (panitumumab) and Erbitux (cetuximab) have ZERO effectiveness. LAR vs Excision
Hi folks - I had posted something on LAR surgery a few days ago...continuing to assess things. T2N0M0 clinically tagged. Assessing LAR or Transanal excision. mesenteric mass
Hello All, My sister recently had her Rectal tumor removed with a hysterectomy. At that time, we were told that they removed the tumor and all lymphnodes that were tested were not affected. Now, 2 months later, she had her follow up CT scan and the report says they see mesenteric mass. Any ideas of what that means?
