Chat Tuesday Night- 6pmPT/7MT/8CT/9ET
Well, tomorrow is Tuesday, chat sisters! I know from reading the threads that of course we have differing schedules, and that Tuesdays will not ever work for some of us. As awesome as we are, think about it: The fact that we are all not available on Tuesdays proves something to me. WE ARE LIVING LIVES DURING AND AFTER…

1 year survivor...but
September 27 marked one year since my mastectomy and I'm happy to report that I continue to be cancer free. A month after my surgery my husband Bill and I picked up stakes and moved from NJ to South Carolina. It was a leap of faith on my part since I had never lived anywhere farther than 45 minutes from the house I grew up…

BC as a GIFT?
Hi all. Have any of you had someone say that being diagnosed with breast cancer has been a gift? This happened to me on a yahoo breast cancer group e-mail. I responded that if this was a gift I'd give it back and I just couldnt understand how anyone could think that way. So ok, I was chastised BIG TIME for supposedly not…

Hans did great!
The procedure yesterday went well, although it was long....7 hours.... The doctor was very excited about the turnout...of course, I could have told him that, with all the prayers, there was no other outcome but terrific!!!! He finally got to his room at midnight...they had to monitor the insertion points so that he didn't…

Hello All - I have recently been diagnosed with DCIS in the right breast. I am 35 yrs old and went for my first base line mam. on 9/5/07. Within the next 2hrs, the nurse took 2 more pics of my breast, I then went for an ultrasound for a suspicious mass, a DR then told me he was concerned about the "lesion" in my breast and…

Avastin for BC (Taxol & AC, too)
Hi there! I had a bilateral mastectomy due to a 4 cm invasive carcinoma in the right breast. That was a year ago, on Sept. 3. I then had AC (Adriamycin Cytoxin), Taxol and Avastin. Recipe For Life
I could be cute and ramble on about adding a dash of humility, a pinch of fear ( not too much) a few cups of courage, a heaping TBS of compassion...you know the drill. I am just so impressed with the honesty and openness I see here on the Boards that I hope as many of us as possible meet in Live Chat tomorrow. ( Tues)…

Reconstruction confusion
OK, those who have "been there, done that" I would like to hear the voice of experience. I will be having a mastectomy in December. Doctors are saying there are no factors indicating that a double mastectomy should be done, but I am concerned about the 10% chance of recurrence I still have and how easy it will be to match…

Do you have new dreams and wishes?
Since I had cancer, I find myself with a new list of dreams and wishes for life. I have a lot of the same dreams....but now they're bigger and they truly feel like they will happen one day. Problems that come up just don't upset me like before. Does anyone else feel the same?
