1 year survivor...but
This year, September 27th was the day I laid my beloved husband to rest after a 6 month battle with brain mets steming from his sinus cancer of 4 years ago.
I just want to say thank you to all of you who were there when I needed to vent. I'm not quite sure what direction my life takes now but I know I'm a survivor-- in more ways than one.

Oh, Kathy....I was afraid for you when we didn't hear from you...
I am sad for you, and happy at the same time (for your 1 year survival!). Having lost my ex-hubby (we were still friends) and daughter in the last year, I can only say I can understand somewhat.
You will go on, and your life will change. Be patient with yourself. Allow sadness, realize that it is a natural part of the process.
Please feel free to e-mail me here, and if you do, I can give you my 'real' e-mail as well.
Great, big, warm hugs to you!

Dear Kathy,
I have thought of you often over the last month and I like Kathi assumed that you were having to walk the path that you described above. Please give yourself time. I lost my mate 5 years ago... and it was a tough trip. I found dealing with my own cancer a couple of years later much easier. I was so angry with God for a time... how could he take the best part of me away... but there must have been a reason.
Try to stay busy... it was the only way I managed to stay sane. If I can help in anyway let me know.
Take Care... God Bless...
