Symptoms worse after core needle biopsy??
Hi everyone I got the most problematic lymph node biopsied. Now I'm almost constantly itchy, esp after waking up and showers and nighttime, and soooo sleepy. It's so hard to wake up in the morning. Anyone else have this issue? Where it aggravates the symptoms?

Unnerved by my recent prostate diagnosis
Recently, I had a general physical that included a PSA test. At 81, I thought it was not recommended to include it in the blood test. The results came back with a PSA level of 10.1 I made an appointment with my urologist, who recommended a sonogram, MRI, and CT scan. The results showed two lesions (PI-RADS Assessment…

Question on behalf of my mom.
Hello everyone. I hope this finds you well. My mother is a woman in her seventies, and has been cancer free for about a year. She had radiation therapy. She's been getting a lot better and has improved her mobility and muscle tone through physical therapy and trying to be mindful of her eating- reducing sugar and the like.…

My CEA went from 3.9 to 4.6 in one month. Should I be worried? I don't smoke and I am not around anyone who smokes.

Trust after Cancer
It seemed to me as I was going through cancer there were really only 2 kinds of people. 1. Outstandingly generous people who were doing everything they could to help and were upset they couldn't do more. 2. People who didn't care at all. Maybe they would do a low effort thing, like a box of cookies in the mail for…

New to this group
I have been under observation for years and now after my 3rd biopsy, I have been given the choice of surgery or radiation. I chose surgery as if I have returned cancer I can turn to radiation. There is no shame in saying that I am scared for the surgery, but more about after the surgery and how to deal with what needs to…

Looking for pen pals
Hello, I am a stage 3 breast cancer survivor and have been in remission for about a little over a year now. Trying to get back to normal as much as possible while dealing with all of the permanent side effects from treatment. I was hoping to find others to talk to that have dealt with similar issues and/or people who are…

Has ANYONE had a manageable experience with Anastrozole?
Hi, all: I've been silently but consistently rooting all of you on toward restored health. I've been through (as most of you have personally experienced, on your own timelines and journeys) the most intense path toward survival since my diagnosis at the end of Sept. 2023 with invasive ductal cancer + one positive lymph…

New diagnosed and beginning treatment
Hi. I'm brand new to this site, and unsure about its inner workings and information sharing. But I am definitely just looking for support and information from others with similar experiences. I was diagnosed a week and a half ago with Triple Negative IDC breast cancer, stage 2, possibly 3. After a week of MRI's, CT scans,…

New to breast cancer
I am starting treatment for my stage 1 breast cancer next week and am having a hard time accepting that I will be losing my hair. I know the most important thing is my health, but it's still hard to accept. I am also having a lot of nervousness about the side effects. Also worried about how I will keep up with work even…

cold therapy gloves and socks
I was told by my oncology doctor today that my chemo may cause neuropathy. She said they say to use ice before during and after treatment (15 mins. each time). I was looking into this and see Amazon sells them. Can anyone tell me if they have used them and if it seems to work? Thank you!

Breast Cancer Treatment
I just found this chat room and am enjoying the comments as I am about halfway through my breast cancer treatment. I started chemo last November. I am 8 days post bilateral mastectomy due to inflammatory BC in my left breast and ductal carcinoma in my right breast (I hit the jackpot). After recovery, I had to undergo 30…

Anyone Having Trismus Or TMJ (Temporo Mandibular Joint) Issues Or Problems Here Are Some Ideas
Keep it simple-Stick with the sticks, one stick at a time, and skip the Therabite. I guess they work, the concept is good but they are made of plastic, and considering how long they have been making them would think the price would have come down by now because most people's insurance doesn't cover them, and at the crazy…

High Gleason/low PSA
hi, I just had a biopsy. All 12 samples have an “aggressive” cancer cell sampling. My Gleason score is 9, but my PSA is only 4.4. When I search for information on low PSA and high Gleason I’m reading that this combination has a much higher mortality rate. Does anyone on here have a similar profile? I’m sorta lost…thanks Jim

Yervoy as a preventative? Killing her instead.
My sister was diagnosed for the second time in a few years with Melanoma. They again removed the melanoma from her leg, but her Oncologist suggested she complete 4 treatements every three weeks of Yervoy as a prevantitive. She completed two treatments and has been hospitalized every since. She has had 5 surgeries in 9…

Metastatic Papillary thyroid carcinoma
My husband has been diagnosed with metastasis papillary thyroid carcinoma in October 2023. So, clearly this is NOT a good…

Medication for Metatsatic RAI resistance DTC
I had a TT with neck dissection in June 2023 and RAI last September. My lung nodules did not take up the RAI. My cancer was DNA tested, and they know it's an RAI-resistant strain that is aggressive. Conservative treatment question
I recently underwent surgery to remove one lobe and the isthmus of my thyroid because they were obstructive. Despite benign results from FNA and DNA, path reports came back with two types of cancer in the removed lobe: papillary (very small), and follicular (3.7 mass). My surgeon is going to treat by leaving other lobe in,…

Why are people compelled to write about their religious beliefs in the specific cancer forums?
This has been an issue for the 5+ years I have been a member of this site. It's been going on long before that and I am not the only person who finds this to be an issue worth discussing. While there are not very many people who speak out publicly (I have colon cancer and usually post there - or here) when I do make a…

Tonsil Cancer - Had TORS and Neck Dissection and current status on radiation
T2 N1 M0 - surgery performed on July 18th and radiation started 8 weeks after surgery. Plan is to do the traditional 30 radiation days. On day 18 of radiation and it is tolerable.
