Friends, Well, here we go again. Tomorrow I go back for another bloodtest, see my oncologist, and if my counts will allow get my 6th taxo/carbo chemo. Struggling with questions and 2 types of cancer at the same time
Roughly 3 weeks ago I found out that I have a large cancerous tumor at the opening to my cervix. The gynecological oncologist says that it is uterine cancer and I was scheduled for a hysterectomy and removal of my ovaries and tubes. I had a CT scan to study the tumor and at that time they found a mass in my right kidney. I…

Yoga and or resistance exercise during chemo
Friends, Is it ok to do yoga and or resistance exercise during chemo? I read an article or two stating in one study of groups divided by those that did not exercise, those that did aerobics, and those that did resistance during chemo-that the group doing resistance was most successful in completing chemo treatments. It was…

unusual chemo side effect
I had an unusual chemo side effect that I thought I would share to avoid others from worry. I noticed that after any chemo if I sat down hard on the sofa and then laid down I would get a pounding pressure (like a throbbing from a terrible headache) that started at my lower spine and then slowly went up my spine. When it…

What vitamins are antioxidants to avoid while on chemo
Thanks for the posts on vitamins. That was my thought as well. A simple vitamin with no extra dosages of anything, or any herbs etc. Everyone noted no antioxidants-what would those be? Thanks! Hugs Cindy

Multivitamins while on chemo
Friends, I have a question. My oncologist said it would be ok to take a multivitamin during chemo-I have not been doing so. For a while I took Flinstones, but decided they might be bad for teeth since they are chewable. Recently I found online One a Day Essentials-which just has your basic vitamins and no herbs added in-so…

To J Mullen 16------Does CA125 test only confirm cancer returning to original location?
Hi all. Does the CA125 cancer marker test only indicate if cancer has reoccured in the original location? I thought often if cancer returns even to a different location that is usually originates from the first cancer. That is a bit scarey if that is the case, that the CA125 test is only indicative of a return to the…
