Relax, smile and rent some Christmas feel good movie dvds
Everyone, Happy holidays to all my friends on the boards. You have all helped me a great deal this year, encouraging me at the beginning of the chemo process, even before radiation, letting me know you all did these same treatments, and so could I. I can't tell you how much it helped encourage me that maybe I could get…

Newly diagnosed
Hi everyone! My name is Shelly and I am new to the boards. I was newly diagnosed with uterine cancer this past Tuesday. I had a partial hysterectomy on 12/2/10 and my pathology reports came back with a diagnosis of adenocarcinoma. As my gynecologist did not know I had uterine cancer, he didn't do any staging. I have now…

Five weeks since my last chemo------counts still a rollercoaster ride
Friends, Hi there. Well, today I went for my weekly bloodtest. This is my 5th wweek since my 6th final chemo, and my counts are still struggling to return. Good news, platelets went up from 34,000 to 84,000. So that was a good jump in a week. However, on the downside hemoglobin dropped and white and neutrophils dropped as…

Got my CT/PET results. Mets to the liver. :(
They're small (only one slightly larger than a cm & 3 other tiny ones noted on the report that my gyne-onc couldn't even FIND on my scan images) but apparently my uterine cancer has now metasticized to my liver. That can't be good. The CA125 I had last Monday just prior to my CT/PET was 290, significantly up from the 181…

Hi Shirley: I did read your last post but did not get a chance to respond to you. How you are still doing well. I have just completed my one year and I am having some pains in my abdomen. Good news today as well!
Well I've been on Gemzar since early April '10 after trying Doxil out for a couple of months for a recurrence. Ca125 hit high of 658 in April, normal by end of June (30), better by end of July (15) along with clean CT scan, so I opted to take August off for vacation. Gyn-onc a little concerned with my decision and ordered…

When to expect to be at full strength post hysterectomy
I had a total hysterectomy on Nov. 15th. I tried returning to work last Wednesday, but it proved to be too much for me. Simple tasks such as a trip to the grocery store still makes me very tired. When can I expect to be back to feeling 100%?

My dearest Mom
To June and others who supported me: I wanted to inform everyone that I lost my mom on Sept 26. Grief of losing a mother and at a relatively young age is the most terrible thing. She was a real fighter. Even if the doctor had recommended chemo when she was in the last and worst stage, she would have happily gone for it.…

Maggie
Maggie, Good luck with the new CA125 test, and the scans. Just remember, my doc said sometimes scans too can be misleading after all of the surgery we have had. And you were sick, so perhaps that was a factor in your CA125 spike. I am sending positive and healing thoughts your way. Cindy

Friends, I am almost 4-1/2 weeks out from my 6th chemo. Still struggling with low blood counts, so I have not yet been approved by my medical team to return to work. It is my understanding that my employer would like me to return, even though I have been out for 8 months now. I am just curious, how many who have completed…

Hi - you mentioned in a Nov post that radiation was still kicking your butt. I also had WART - about 18 months ago. What does your doc say about…
