Met another uterine cancer patient
Am I the only one who thinks this disease is becoming more and more common? I was visiting my daughter in Henderson, NV last week and was out for a walk. I don't wear "hair" when I walk (it's too hot) so I had my ballcap on. What hair I have is buzzed because there is no reason in the world to look like the crypt…

Update on my vaginal wall cyst
Cyst turned out to be benign. It was a Mullerian duct remnant with wolffian/mesonpheric duct. The Wolffian duct (also known as the mesonephric duct) is one of the paired embryogenic tubules that drain the primitive kidney (mesonephros) to the cloaca. In both the male and the female the Wolffian duct develops into the…

Results of my gyn/onc appt. on Monday
I just wanted to let you know the results of my gyn/onc appt. on Monday. I still have a small mass in my paracolic gutter. It's now 1.1 x 1.4 cm. and in June it was 1.0 x 1.4 cm. My CA-125 was 6.3 then and it's 6.4 now. So both the CA-125 and the results of the CT scan show a 0.1 increase. The radiology report my gyn/onc…

Looked small and they felt it was caught early. I get to the GYN Onc. and he tells me I have a rare type of uterine cancer. UPSC…

Here's one for the book - Can someone help me out with this?
Ok. As some of you may know, I have been going for various tests in the past couple of months. Most recently, I met with my PCP who not only put me on a mild high blood pressure medicine (never had it before), but also wanted me to have a urine and blood test since my most recent PET/MRI showed that my left kidney has…

They immediately stopped the IV and then gave some additional Benadryl. Its a big deal with the nurse…

Anyone have a cyst? removed from the vaginal wall?
Went in for my 4 year check up and saw what they thought was a cyst right inside the vaginal opening. They removed it and sent it to be checked and I have to wait a week to find out the results. It was about the size of a pea and when she removed it there was fluid inside. She also noticed a mole on the labia that I didn't…

I got a call today that I will see the radiation onocologist and the thorasic surgeon next Friday the 29 th. I will get a repeat CAT scan of the chest that morning. The surgeon likes the scan to be within 30 days. So I hope that means I am a candidate for either the cyber knife or surgery. I am hoping for the cyber knife.…

How about a roll call? Haven't heard from many of you in a while.
State age, geographic location, when diagnosed, stage at diagnosis, treatments, current status, complementary treatments, source of strength (or something like that).

Went today to get " mold" or body cradle for SBRT
I had to remove my bra and shirt and put on a gown. I had to lay on a table that looked like it was covered with a black garbage bag. They made sure I was in a straight line. They then had me sit up. They poured into the bag some sort of chemical that turned into a foam. I then laid down. I put my arms over my head. There…

Results from PET/MRI
So the PA returned my call today and told me about my report. Although she said overall it looked good, my doctor still hadn't read it and will read it tomorrow and then get back to me. I am happy that the results didn't turn up anything new, but I am still faced with the stupid mass and what I should do: Although it…

New here -Looking for support - from breast to uterus?
Hi- in 2007 I posted "new here" I'm breast cancer.org. It was such a great community. I learned so much and received, and gave in return unbelievable support. Double mastectomy - DCIS 1, 3 tumors on one side and star clusters on other; necrosis. I was unbelievably lucky. I did not have time for reconstructive surgery but…

A friend of mine has had a lot of issues and in her searches…

Went for consultations today
Today at 9:31 PM My first consultation was with the thoracic surgeon. My lymph node is too big to do the surgery with a scope. He said the node could be removed that way. The two surgery options he gave me was one a thoracotomy. He would make an incision on my right side and go through the ribs to remove the lymph node.…
