Every woman should know
I just read an article in the July issue of Prevention entitled When Cutting Edge Kills. I'm sorry, I don't know how to create a link but if you google the title, it comes up on line. We cancer survivors need to help educate our sisters about this procedure. I know many women on this site were unaware they had cancer until…

Told no cancer but questions about Postmenopausal women
I am 60 years old and have been in menopause since I had chemo for breast cancer over 11 years ago. I recently had spotting and pelvic pressure. I saw my gynecologist and she did a very painful uterine biopsy in her office and sent me for ultrasounds the following week. The biopsy came back as insufficient tissue. The…

Hair!
Good Morning Ladies, When I came to work today with my wig on my coworkers asked me about how my hair is growing. They have not seen my hair since about three weeks ago before I left for a trip. Well, I showed them and they thought that I looked "cool" and convinced me that I don't have to wear my wig anymore. Not certain…

I am curious to know if you eventually tried the Alpha Lipoic Acid for your neuropathy? On reading about it I note that it is also supposed to have a positive effect with regard to cancer. 600 mg a day seems to be the maximum toleration without side effects. I am going to give it a go...nothing venture!!! Will start on 300…

While we have security measures in place, we can't prevent all spam. We are currently working on measures to try and block this kind of private message spamming. If…

Have You told to many people what disease You have? I mean in the beginning.
Hi My case is so new and uncertain that it has not yet been topical to tell about it to many people, I haven’t got any diagnosis yet and I’m waiting for scraping. But the way the gynegologists have commented the ultrasound pictures, is a little bit alarming. This forum knows much more about my situation than the people…

has anyone experienced low back pain from the Neulasta shot? I had to have the shot after round 3 of chemo (Taxol and carboplatin). They told me to take the Claritin the day before and 3 days after. They said I would probably have some degree of pain in my arms and legs. I didn't. Everything was fine. Then the evening of…

Stage 4 carcinosarcoma of uterus (lung mets) still cancer free
To all uterine cancer survivors and those undergoing treatment I will share my story. Had some abnormal bleeding that I thought was a birth control pill mix up, but…

Has anybody of You been totally without symptoms but surprisingly been diagnosed with uterine cancer
It’s , anyway, good to be asymptomatic but it is insidious. I got the alarming ultrasound pictures by a routine visit to my gynecologist in the beginning of June. I do not know anything more yet, I must wait for the diagnosis. The inoffice biopsy test couldn’t be done because of a tight cervix and I’ll have my D&C on the…

Dilation and curettage when cervix is tight
Has anyone of You been in a situation that D&C has not been possible to perform? I’ll have D&C on the next Monday. The endorette was not done because my cervix was tight. I’m European, with the benefits and problems of our public health system
I do not know very much about the US health care system but I suppose You mostly have private insurances. That is not usual in Scandinavia. We have high taxes and quite a good public health care with small cost to the patient. But our system has the problem of long queues even if the referral to the hospital is urgent. But…

Returning to the discussion board…feeling frustrated with my doctors!
It's been quite a few months since I've posted anything on the discussion...or even looked at the board! I stopped reading posts because some got a little depressing and some were just too overwhelming...and then I was just so disillusioned by my doctor that I kind of went into a "denial" phase! In January 2012 I was…

New Ill-Defined Mass
I've had some minor pinching abdominal pain on my left side. I had been drinking a lot of raspberry lemonade up to a couple of months ago and thought the abdominal pain and worsened reflux was because of that. I thought I either gave myself something like gastritis or an ulcer, plus had my reflux, which I'm already on…
