Sometimes you need to take your own advice.
Hi All. As may of you know, I have been dealing with some issues with my kidneys and a PET positive mass (6.8). As I was helping another poster here, I realize that I should take my own advice. I was fixated on all of these issues. When I reread this post and my advice to her, I decided to ask myself those same questions.…

I am a Uterine Cancer Survivor: Do not base YOUR outcome on any of these posts!
I first must say that THIS site is the best of any out there. I was scared as hell two years ago, this past October, when I first found out I had uterine cancer. There is a lot of scary info lurking on the World Wide Web. DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT! I know that not everyone is as lucky as me to have caught it at stage 1. I had…

CA125
I had surgery, chemo, radiation, a follow up CT scan and lots of bloodwork, but I just had my very first CA125-- mostly because I asked after reading stories here! My chemo doctor said it's not so common for endometrial cancer (mine was IIIC1) and some insurance won't cover the test for endometrial. Then I had an appt with…

Emotional Roller Coaster Is it normal?
My emotions are way off the charts. I knew a meltdown was coming and it happened this morning at church. Let me give you a brief synopsis of the last few weeks. Had a really, really good week 2 or 3 weeks ago. Then, I think I did too much and paid for it, well, it hasn't gotten better. Then last week, I started Livestrong…

Met another uterine cancer patient
Am I the only one who thinks this disease is becoming more and more common? I was visiting my daughter in Henderson, NV last week and was out for a walk. I don't wear "hair" when I walk (it's too hot) so I had my ballcap on. What hair I have is buzzed because there is no reason in the world to look like the crypt…

Update on my vaginal wall cyst
Cyst turned out to be benign. It was a Mullerian duct remnant with wolffian/mesonpheric duct. The Wolffian duct (also known as the mesonephric duct) is one of the paired embryogenic tubules that drain the primitive kidney (mesonephros) to the cloaca. In both the male and the female the Wolffian duct develops into the…

Results of my gyn/onc appt. on Monday
I just wanted to let you know the results of my gyn/onc appt. on Monday. I still have a small mass in my paracolic gutter. It's now 1.1 x 1.4 cm. and in June it was 1.0 x 1.4 cm. My CA-125 was 6.3 then and it's 6.4 now. So both the CA-125 and the results of the CT scan show a 0.1 increase. The radiology report my gyn/onc…

Here's one for the book - Can someone help me out with this?
Ok. As some of you may know, I have been going for various tests in the past couple of months. Most recently, I met with my PCP who not only put me on a mild high blood pressure medicine (never had it before), but also wanted me to have a urine and blood test since my most recent PET/MRI showed that my left kidney has…

Anyone have a cyst? removed from the vaginal wall?
Went in for my 4 year check up and saw what they thought was a cyst right inside the vaginal opening. They removed it and sent it to be checked and I have to wait a week to find out the results. Went today to get " mold" or body cradle for SBRT
I had to remove my bra and shirt and put on a gown. I had to lay on a table that looked like it was covered with a black garbage bag. They made sure I was in a straight line. They then had me sit up. They poured into the bag some sort of chemical that turned into a foam. I then laid down. I put my arms over my head. There…
