Avastin: your opinion for ovarian cancer (clinical trial now for papillary serous uterine cancer)
There are 4 of us on the CSN Discussion Boards that have UPSC (Uterine Papillary Serous Carcinoma), a rare type of aggressive high-reoccurance endometrial cancer that has much more in common with ovarian cancer than with the more common type of uterine cancer. We post under the "Gynecologic Cancers Other than Ovarian"…

Comforting News
Hi, I had fluid drained off my lungs yesterday and it wasn't a big deal at all, just a little discomfort. Saw my gyn/onc today and found out the fluid contained cancer cells, which was not unexpected. I feel so much better after talking to him, just knowing what is happening. Also, he gave me hope that I can go into…

How much rest?
Hi Ladies, I had my 1st treatment of my 2nd round of carbo/taxotere last Tuesday. Since Friday I have had periods when I just want to sit or lie down. I feel somewhat fatigued, but also feel "almost" nauseous. I'm not sure if it's fatigue or the "yucky" feeling that is behind my lying down, but doing so definitely helps.…

thymus gland
Well, this morning I spent my morning in the ER. I had been having pains in my left side and had not been able to sleep. Figured it was from going to the batting cage and playing softball two weeks ago. But wanted to make sure. The short of it is, I have muscle relaxers for the muscle pain. Ruled out heart, lungs, blood…

Head in the sand
Hi Everyone, It's been a while since I've been logged in. My sister went into remission in December so I've been praying/pretending that she is just fine, fine, fine from here on out. However...her CA-125 had been at 21 (after the all-time high of nearly 10,000 at diagnosis last April 18th). Her most recent CA-125 is at…

LUNG NODULE
Well, I have a couple more questions regarding that lung nodule that was reported on my CT scan in June. As I mentioned, it's 3mm (quite small according to my doctor). It is in the left lower lobe. My doctor just wants to recheck in 6 months. I asked, 'well should I be watching for symptoms'? He said, 'we're always…
