Hi Nancy,
I'm so sorry for your Mom's diagnosis and her problem with her treatment.
I haven't been on Doxil, yet so I can't help with your question, but...
I noticed that you've posted here twice, why don't you try posting on the MedHelp OVCA website, or the Johns Hopkins OVCA message board, and see if any of those ladies have experienced the side affect your Mom is dealing with.
I'm sure her doctor and the nurses are trying their best to help her overcome the discomfort.
Best wishes to her,

Doxil?
I have had two doses of Doxil at two different times with more nausea than was usual with Taxol and Carboplatin. (I did not throw up, just felt nauseous which is normal for me.) The last dose was in August and I had to take the anti nausea pills for about 5 days. If your Mother is in the hospital she should be getting that. Or they should be investigating other causes???? Thanks all for your responses and advices. I don't think doxil causes all the vomiting and nausea either. And she has no obstruction according to the X-ray.0 -
nausea
Nancy, I had first dose of doxil and am on day 6. No nausea at all or any other side effects so far.
I did have severe nausea and throwing up with gem/cis every cycle and was hospitalized every 21 days for 4 days. Really important that she doesn't get dehydrated. Hopefully the nausea will lift soon and she can start eating again.
Warm hugs and prayers,
kathleen:)0
