I just wanted to thank all of you again who responded to my question regarding my neighbor, who was diagnosed with mylofibrosis. Unfortunately, Fred passed away on Monday. Technically, not from the disease itself, but from a staff infection and fungal infection. It is believed that had he gone sooner to MD Anderson, the…

Chemo options
Does anybody have any idea if there are types of ovca that there aren't a lot of chemo options for? It seems to me that my gyn/onc was kind of saying that to me since my CA125 levels weren't coming down enough and she is unhappy with the results. She never said to me that there were a lot of options. Should I be worried?…

Disappointing CA125 Results
I have been on chemo for 8 months now. I started with Carbo/Gemzar but had to be switched to Taxol when the CA125 numbers didn't come down fast enough plus I had to keep delaying chemos because of low blood counts. I've had 3 treatments with the new drugs and at first my number went down almost 20 points. This last test it…

More stress talk
There have been a number of discussions here regarding stress and OVCA. Here is a cut-and-paste I found. The correlation is much more definitive than I would have believed otherwise. This was published April 15,2010 Researchers at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center report that chronic stress triggers a…

Avastin Headaches. How long do they linger?
I am wondering if anyone has had these headaches from Avastin. My last treatment was Feb 9th, but I am STILL having terrible daily, lingering headaches.
