Ouestiona about getting out in the sun...
My husband and I are avid fishermen. We spend all of our spare time in our boat down on the Columbia River fishing for steelhead and salmom...summer, fall and spring runs. As a matter of fact we are scheduled to take off for the first two weeks in August and already have our cottage arrangements paid for and ready to go.…

Pancreas Tumor and NHL?
I have been diagnosed with Stage 3, Low Grade, NHL and have been going thru chemo. My cancer was caught when they discover two tumors thru a CT scan. It showed two tumors, one on top of my pancreas (5 x 5.6 x 4.8 cm) and a groin lymph node. They took out the groin tumor, and since it did not have pancreatic cells, they…

Hi, I'm new to this forum and wondering if there are any others living post treatment, mostly going strong, but sometimes struggling emotionally with flashbacks of the trauma of diagnosis and treatment? I was diagnosed at the age of 38 with a huge mediastinal (chest) mass which was advanced and immediately life…

Some good news and some potential bad news.
Good news is that my tests are fine, no signs of masses or blood problems. I also will go see a neurologist, just to double check that my brain is alive and kicking. Bad news is that my resting heart rate is at around 100, and this has been going on for a while. It's concerning, so I'm waiting on what will be done.

I underwent treatment for Hodgkin's last year (ABVD) and am wondering if any of you had severe emotional issues after treatment? I had depression prior to my diagnosis, but it comes in swings now, almost like I'm bipolar. I'm on Prozac and seeing a therapist, but is there any form of psychological testing that I can look…

When did the cancer go away?
I was diagnosed with large b-cell non-hodgkins with characteristics of hodgkins (gray zone lymphoma) in March. I am doing six R-CHOP treatments. After 2 cycles I had a CT scan done. The cancer had improved some. After the 4th cycle I had a PET scan done. The cancer was "better". Just wondering after what treatment cycle…

Seeking advice on Toothpaste!
DX with NHL around 6/1/2010. My first round of R-CHOP was on 6/23/2010. I've been looking for a toothpaste that doesn't cause my mouth to feel like it's on fire, yet makes my mouth and teeth smell and feel clean. Does anyone have any suggestions?

A question about the port
Hi, I have a question about the port. I had it installed a couple of weeks ago right before my first session of chemo, and since the tube was removed I'm terrified to get it restuck, does it hurt really bad or am I just scaring myself? Because I'm terrified to get my next round of chemo because of it.

It really does end!
Glad to hear both of you are hanging in there. Ooooeee I can really remember the tired. There were times at work that I would sit in my car for a break and then wonder how I was going to get back in. I slept a lot and think I probably helped myself out by doing so. I never had any open sores in my mouth but it was really,…
