Third Round in the Books!!!!

Hello everyone,just got back from round Three! My blood counts were still very low, but my doc said we can still do it! I was glad, for that nothing would have been worse then getting sticked for nothing, and then have to go back!!!!!! I will be getting my P.E.T. Scan later in the week to see if treatment is working, can't sweat it, I have no control over that. Starting to loose facial hair, thinking of getting a fake beard, you know, the ones that go over your ear's LOL! Anyway wishing everyone well, stay strong!!!!!!! Vinny

    Vinny, way to go. I know it concerns you about those blood counts. I am sure they will come up in time. Those chemo drugs can be rough on the body as you know. I felt great yesterday but a little dragging today,not too bad though. appetite is still good even though the taste buds are showing more signs of disappearing. Hang in there. John

    Hi Vinny...glad to hear this round is behind you. Sorry your blood counts were low and hopefully they will be better soon and the counts come up. I have so much ahead of me and it sure helps to hear others share what they are going through. Take care and stay positive.

    Boy you are moving right along. Are you having 6 or 8 cycles? Your blood counts will come back up, it's just a little harder on the 2 week schedule I would think. All the best, Mary

    Hey Mary, funny you said that about the 6 verses 8 cycles, My Doc was telling me today why I could not do the 6 cycles,it's because of my past history with Rad's and the Cyspaltin Chemo I had before. My heart races during this Chemo, she put me on the 8 week cycle..... Oh well it's only two more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the post Vinny

    Hey John, sorry to hear about the taste buds man that sucks I know!!!! I go for my shot tomorrow, then again next Monday, probably a double shot! they are only good with booze! hahahaha You hang in their to my friend...... Vinny
