Thanks John...Yes...waiting has been the hardest part so far. I'm trying to stay calm and peaceful today, but man oh man I "really" hate needles! My stomach keeps doing flip flops and I almost threw my coffee up a little bit ago. 4 1/2 more hours to go....UGH! Hope you have a good day...Sue0 -

Sue, you are going to feel that way every time at first because you will not know what to expect. It will get a little easier after a few visits. You will feel a little edgy before each visit regardless. Hang in there and ask the Dr. what do they think they will find in the bmb. They have the experience to know what to expect. John0 -

Hi John...I did ask my doctor..(today) if she expects to find cancer in my bone/marrow and she said "I will not be surprised if it is". She also said what one of you told me...she will treat it right along with the other areas affected and it's just one more process to add to the mix. She said the reason my bone is so hard and dry is because of my taking HRT therapy since 1989..20 yrs on Premerin. I had a full hystrectomy at that time when I was 38. She said I should of gone off of it long before now...(10 years ago) I'm almost weened off of it and just take 3 pills this week...2 pills next week and then I'll be down to the last pill and I'll be done with it. I've been having hot flashes and a few moody moments, but nothing so intense that I can't handle it. Wish I had done this before I was diagnosed with this cancer because now my mental state is less stable and dealing with all the menopause crap is just one more thing to add to the stress. Oh well...I will work through it and hopefully after everything is said and done I will come out on the good end of the stick...God willing! Hip is beginning to hurt so I better take a tylenol 3. Waste of time, but maybe I can fool myself into thinking it will help...ha!0 -

I can relate to this. Chemo and radiation put me into menopause at 42. My onc got so tired of my complaining his office was so hot and the air wasn't moving he put me on Effexor XR. It's an anti-depressant, anti anxiety drug that also reduces hot flashes by 60% (they actually did a study on it) and I cannot tell you how much that has helped with everything. Talk to your doc about it, you never know it may help with all of it.0 -

I wrote that down about Effexor. If my hot flashes get too nasty I'll ask my doctor about taking it. I think my oldest sister takes it...I'll ask her how it works for her..she's 63. Take care....Sue0
