Long term side effects from C/T chemo?
Hi everyone. I don't really post much here, but have some questions. Have any of you experienced any long term side effects from cytoxan/taxotere? I completed four rounds of chemo just over two years ago followed by radiation. I recently had a follow up with my medical onc and she says that I now have an irregular…

I'm meeting with a radiation oncologist on Monday. I've got one bone met on the left sacrum that needs to be radiated. Had a mastectomy without reconstruction last month and am still doing Herceptin, Zometa and Letrozole. my Breast surgeon and oncologist are in disagreement over radiation to the chest wall. Breast surgeon…

Bone Mets only
Hello. I was wondering if there are any women out there who have or are experiencing metastisis STRICTLY to the bones and nowhere else? I'm told that my bc is not curable but treatable. Seeing as I'm ER+ and Her2- my bc is considered a "slow" or "indolent" disease. Many calcifications were noted in my left breast in 2008…

My Onconologist is having me do Chemo for 16 weeks, once every three weeks, so a total of 6 sessions. then she said i rest for a month, then i get to have surgery. Hi, I am now just doing herceptin alone every third week and just started on tomoxifen . i still have muscle aches like I did when I was getting all four chemo meds. Is this what your Relay for Life is like?
My oncologist's office decided to form a team for Relay for Life this year -- all the doctors, nurses, and administrative staff participated, and they raised over 12 thousand dollars! The event was yesterday on the football field at a local middle school -- I baked cookies for them, and my partner Trace and I went out…

Metastisis to bones
Hello. I was wondering if any of you have had a metastisis to the bones, in particular, the spine, ribs, and/or pelvis? I had a very tiny invasive lobular cancer, .02 cent. but had one positive sentinel node measuring .9 cent. I was treated with a lumpectomy and 33 rounds of radiation to the breast and axillary nodes.…

Went to my oncologist today for results.... she said we will do an MRI to determine exactly what it IS, but for certain is that it is NOT cancer!!!! DANCING!!! Has anyone out there refused chemo?
I am new to this "nightmare" and I have been told I need chemo. I really really don't want chemo. I'm worried it will empty our savings account and I'm not sure I can handle feeling sick for that long. I also can't picture myself without hair. I get the impression nobody ever refuses chemo treatment. I would appreciate any…

5 days post BMX w/o reconstruction-- numbness
BRCA-2 with tumor on one side, had BMX with SLNB on one side just five days ago. Two nodes removed. No reconstruction. I have been doing well with recovery-- stripping my own drains, doing small tasks around my house, and taking it easy too. Tapered off the pain meds pretty quickly. However, I was unprepared for how…
