17 years later?
It has been 17 years since my Mother had breast cancer and her oncologist still has her come in every year. He doesn't run any lab work, ask her how she is doing, gives her a cursory exam and she is out in under 10 minutes. Why does she need to still see him?

Pain after bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction when wearing sports bra
Hi - I am new to this forum and had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction 4 weeks ago. My plastic surgeon told me two weeks ago that I could begin wearing soft sports bras but she also said many people just wear a camisole under shirts during reconstruction. I am self conscious about the irregular shape of my breasts…

Declined chemotherapy...
Hi, This is my first post. When I was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer in 2010 I had a right mastectomy. I was very strongly advised to have chemotherapy.... HOWEVER ... the oncologists also said that even if I had chemo, the cancer would most likely come back in a couple of years anyway, so I declined it. I figured…

Anyone have whole breast radiation in prone position?
Hi ladies, I have heard of radiation to the whole breast given while the person is on her belly with breast hanging down. (Reminds me of the biopsy!) Does anyone have advice or experience with that? Makes sense to me especially if the woman is big breasted. That would keep rads away from heart, lung and ribs. BUT, it seems…

Xeloda, anyone?
Hi there! I'm starting Xeloda next week and was wondering if anyone can share their experience with it. We are adding it to Taxotere and Faslodex. The taxotere is working great on my liver mets but the lymph nodes are growing again and the cancer has metastasized to my skin. So looking for the Xeloda to attack those two…

Fingernail issues
I finished Taxotere in Feb of this year. I'm now on Letrozole, Hercepetin, and Zometa (all indefinitely because of bone met). I know the Taxotere can cause nail problems, and my toenails did get pretty bad towards the end, though I never lost any. Just recently, my fingernails are splitting, and they're very thin, almost…

Need Info on Lung Mets
I am in south central Alabama, and in this part of the country, it is quite common for folks to develop small nodules in their lungs, and they are normally caused by something in the soil. Anyone have advice?
I made it through uterine cancer. Diagnosed and had hysterectomy and radiation. Am 9 months past surgery now, but found lump in my breast and having shoulder pain. Is this a sign, or am I looking for problems were there aren't any? I know a lump isn't a good thing, but I have never heard anything about shoulder pain. I'm…
