Scared to death

Of course!
Of course we are all scared. Only a fool wouldn't be. Just remember that there are lots of people with even worse illnesses doing the best they can. I'm three years out and the feelings of terror do lessen greatly with time. Some days, I don't even think about it anymore. Keep posing and getting help from all the great ladies on this site! Hugs, Anna

Hi!
It's very normal to feelHi!
It's very normal to feel scared. We have all been there.
In 2001 my ex-dr said for me to "get my things in order" when my bc came back on my mast scar line. That was 14 years ago. I still don't have my things in order
My wonderful Onc says we do not come with an expiration date. And I agree. We do what we can. We fight the best we can. We live the best we can.
We are here for you. This is a great support site

I was terrified!
The word cancer is a scary word let alone a Doc telling you, you have dcis and then you have to find out on your own it's cancer. How bogus is that! I've had dcis 3xs and it never gets less scary however, the good thing about dcis is it's contained in the ducts and has not spread so prognosis is very good and knowing that helped. My fear turned into fight and now I'm determined to stay on top of my health and ask a zillion questions. Sometimes, the doctors say I'm overly concerned but that's how I caught my last diagnosis. Hang in there and we are here.
