Faslodex Users
I am interested in talking to anyone who takes Faslodex injections. Why were you prescribed the injections? Do you experience back and joint pain? My dr. and I are in slight disagreement -- we found a microscopic place on my chest that didn't show up on a scan -- I insisted we biopsy it. It is in the skin and I feel it was…

no surgery?
I'd like to know if others have had the experience of my sister who has inflammatory breast cancer with mets to the spine and lungs. From the beginning, the docs have said surgery to remove the primary cancer in the breast isn't really under consideration. Her way of coping is to avoid any knowledge of her prognosis so she…

Tamoxifin and pregnancy
Hi everyone - I just turned 39 years old, am a 3 year survivor, and was married 3 years ago. My husband and I wanted to start a family as soon as we were married because I was 35. Well one week before I got married found out I had BC. I had a lumpectomy and 1 node positive. Did chemo, radiation and have been on tamoxifin…

Replacing aging/ruptured implants
Has anyone undergone surgery to replace aging or ruptured implants? If so, did you replace them with implants again or did you have a DIEP/SIEA/GAP fatty tissue transfer reconstruction? Did you have your implants removed "en bloc" -- inside the scar capsule? Did you have any loose silicone in your body that needed…

I finished 1 week ago and don't expect immediately to "poof" be back to normal but, a general estimate - month,…

Please tell me something good. . . .
I'm really down today - not for myself, but for an old friend. She has lived with "chronic" leukemia (and heart problems from the chemo) for years, and now she has developed bone cancer. She's the same age as I am (nearly 70) and we have been like sisters for over 30 years. I just can't face the possibility of losing her.…

Bathroom issues - ouch!
Ok - This is embarassing, but I have to ask someone! I had my last A/C treatment last week, I will be starting taxol next week. The last few weeks I've developed hemmoriods. My oncologist says I will have fewer issues with this on taxol, but it the mean time I can't decide if I should increase my fiber or take Immodium!…

had the mri, saw the onc
Well, except for some degeneration that is normal to my age, there is nothing wrong with my spine. When the mri was ordered, I asked should they not do the shoulder too and they did not do it. Now, instead of them doing the shoulder, I have asked for a full bone scan. Just get this all done and be done.

I am so sad
I am so sad tonight. A coworker (friend) who also has the same breast cancer diagnosis as me (only she is about 6 weeks ahead of me) is in the hospital because the cancer has spread and it sounds like she is in pretty bad shape. I pray and pray for her that she will be able to beat this but everything I hear is not good. I…

Hi everyone! Monday evening I started losing my hair. I'm 2 weeks out of my 1st Chemo treatment. The nurses told me to expect it in this time frame, so I knew it was coming.
