Stage !V BC (Input needed)
I have been a bc cancer patient since 2003. Just one year ago I was diagnosed with stage IV which has metasticized in the abdominal area. I have had in 2003 adriamicin, taxol, 36 rounds of rads and was in remission until March of 2008. I had now been taking chemo for a year but my cancer is now becoming resistant. Just two…

Hello Ladies and Gents, Well I have been attempting to get my second surgery to put the actual implant in scheduled and they called me today to say it is scheduled for this Friday at 1:15 (I know short notice). I have been kinda pushing them to get me in asap and they have risen to the challenge. I go in for pre-op…

Dear Aortus (a/k/a Joe)...
As Moopy's dear husband, caregiver, #1 supporter... And, importantly, as our fellow (no pun intended!) & very welcome member of this amazing group... Please do not allow Moopy to overtax herself here on the boards following her final chemo today. So many of us will be wondering, hoping that all goes well - please, if you…

Tomorrow is Moopy Day!
Moopy ... I'll be thinking of Tuesday as you have your last chemo. You are a real trooper and your strength through all of this is amazing. I'm sure having Joe with you every step of the way has been a blessing. You two are so lucky to have each other. Hope to hear from you when it's over ... after you and Joe celebrate…

Muscle Spasms in torso and neck
I think I come up with the strangest maladies, but here goes. I've been on aromatase inhibitors for almost one year. Within the last few months, I've noticed that if I turn a certain way, tilt my head a certain way, or reach for something, I get "charley horses" or muscle spasms in my midriff, back, shoulders and neck. I'm…

I'm a computer idiot!
I have read and re-read Joe's tutorials on posting pictures ... I am about ready to throw my computer out the window (except that I'm at work ... and they might not like that ... and I don't have a window!). Anyway ... I am getting jealous of all the pictures and cute animations people have on their posts... you know ...…

hair texture
Okay, I will try one more time: no one responded to my most recent post on hair! My hair now covers my head, but I hate it because it's really thin. I used to have really thick, beautiful hair that grew very rapidly. I had Taxotere/Cytoxan (4 treatments): the last treatment was on June 20 and my hair didn't start growing…

expanders to implants
I had my expanders removed on April 9th and got the silicone implants. My first couple of days I felt great. I loved shedding those hard rocks just to feel something soft on my chest. My sternum hurt like heck as the surgeon really worked the muscle around the rib/sternum area to try and develop something to resemble…

No surgery.
Surgery was scheduled for Thursday...they had already cut off chemo. Unfortunately, rash appeared over my torso over the weekend..that alone would probably have done the surgery in, even though they think it is only an allergic reaction to one of the medications. However, today, urine sample showed today that I still have…

Hi everyone, I have to share a conversation that happened between my mother and I when we here changing my bandages after my mastectomy. 1 year anniversary of being diagnosed with DCIS
How do you deal with the 1st year anniversary of being diagnosed? my friend just went through her first chemo treatment
and she was feeling good for about 4 days, it hit her yesterday hard with the nausea and especially the bad taste that seems to come from deep within and you can't get rid of it. I remember when I was doing the chemo, I first tried strong candy like red hots or lemonheads to try getting rid of the taste. They didn't work,…

I have missed something
I am sorry but I have not been on in a few days. I have missed something for sure. It's about Kourtney. The last post I saw was from her friend saying she had died in the hospital. I spent the whole weekend thinking of her and her family. I was so upset when I read that I have a daughter the same age and I could think…

another thing I had to find out on my own/ER pos. PR neg/significance
Yet another thing no doctor explained to me (Okay, I did not ask, but how would I know to ask?). For some time I have been thinking about the fact that my cancer was considered HIGHLY estrogen positive, but HER2negative and PR negative. Up till now, I thought the PR neg. part was not too important because the most…

Flagged
All messages containing a certain name(s) have been flagged and I am assuming it is from the CSN staff. I don't know exactly why they have all been flagged or what that really means. Maybe someone can tell me and some others on the site might not know what that means either. Thanks, Margo

Moopy and Aortus are ALIVE!
Yes, it is a beautiful spring Saturday morning in the Missouri Ozarks - and Moopy and Aortus are alive! About 4:30 this morning, the dogs started snuffling and whining for their breakfast. Moopy got up, in her role as Food Goddess, and fed them while her loving and dauntless caregiver kept on snoozing. Once he woke up,…
