Should I eat before chemo session?
I'm having my first chemo treatment in one week and am wondering if I should eat before going in for the treatment? Any suggestions? I'm really nervous and my mind is spinning with questions and of course it's the weekend and can't call my oncologist. I'm open to suggestions.

has anyone else gained weight on chemo?
I know this shouldn't be of concern to me, fighting my cancer should (and is), but...I have gained about 10 pounds since I started chemo. I am less active, yes, but still exercise and my eating habits have been about the same. I am curious if others have and if so, do you lose it when chemo is done??? Thanks all!!!

I am 70 years old and recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. I am a member of Kaiser HMO and while care has been good so far it is difficult to find a completely objective opinion on treatment since everyone specializes, even in different forms of radiation treatment. Does anyone have a good source for a second opinion…

What A Difference a Day Makes-New Situation

I had an upcoming ENT appointment and I made it sooner. I Asked if I should get a scan before the appointment. They set me up with…

Losing my hair
Most of you have gone through this a long time ago, but it is my current reality. In the long run, this will seem less catastrophic but for me this was a reason that I seriously considered delaying or refusing traditional chemo. It may sound vain, but it totally rocked my world off kilter. I was not blessed with beauty or…

Port Removal
I have been in remission just over one year. My last scans were completely clear and my doctor suggested removal of my Port. To me it feels premature right now. I'm thinking he may just not want to tie up his staff having to flush it every 6 weeks. Although I'm NED, psychologically it does not feel like it's over and the…
