Radiation and fibromyalgia

I am a 47 year old breast cancer survivor. I am in my 6th year of remission. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in my 20’s and dealt with it pretty well for the most part. About halfway through my 6.5 weeks of radiation I started to experience severe, widespread pain. Much like the fibro pain, but kicked up about 1000%. In the following couple of years I was crippled by pain. So much so that I could hardly dress myself and couldn’t really walk without help. I saw specialist after specialist all telling me that it was just my fibro pain. It was the sharpest most debilitating pain I have ever felt. I was finally sent to pain management. The doctor I see stated that the trauma to the body from radiation produced a severe form of fibro. They gave me Lyrica, an anti inflammatory, and muscle relaxers. They help somewhat, but I still have debilitating pain and little to know quality of life. Has anyone experienced the same thing? If so, I would love to know how you deal with it.
