Surgery
they have not offered it to my dad either , after total gastrectomy he was cancer free from from December to April now his routine scan shows it spread to peritoneal cancer and they have not offered the surgery or Hipec …. only chemo which they keep delaying because of his health ( weight )
So they cancer is just progressing they gave him 3-6 months with hopes of palliative chemo
We are cut 20 years too short of our dad
And do not understand why they never tried the surgery

I am not an expert and have just been diagnosed so I am still learning and researching. From everything I have read, the CRS/HIPEC is a pretty brutal procedure. Is it possible that if his health is not strong enough to do chemo that they are worried about him not being strong enough for the surgery? I hope that you all are finding peace and support for this very difficult journey. Feel free to reach out if you need someone to talk to.
