surgery over-prognosis good
I returned home after a 2 week trip to visit my son,his wife and their 2 year old twins. Just what I needed! Had a couple of days to recoup before surgery. The doctor said the cancer was confined to the uterus and was able to remove it all. He took lymph node samples and I'll get the pathology report the end of August. He…

Is there such thing as too much non refined/ processed sugar? (sugar from fruits)
I am trying to gain some weight, at the same time I am trying to completely eliminate processed food, sugar, meat, and lactose from my diet. I know almost everything, if not everything, has natural sugar. My concern is the fact that sugar feeds cancer cell, and I also know it is mainly referring to processed sugar, but how…

Needed: Collective Indignation?
In response to Claudia's post on a really bad book--and her request for a list of the BEST books we've read--I refer us to Dr. Russell Blaylock's outrage, in his book Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients, about the typical "nutrition" doled out to cancer patients. Claudia, you might enjoy his diatribes about the…

UPSC question...........risk factors?
I'm still trying to come to grips with my diagnosis of UPSC. Does anyone know if there is a genetic predisposition to this type of cancer? I can find very little information online. Dairy products or calcium supplements?
I've spent days researching the pros and cons of calcium supplements (specifically, Solgar's calcium citrate with added D3) and calcium from dairy. Neither source seems appealing, particularly to cancer patients; but I nevertheless need to get close to 1500 mg. in my diet. My doctor does not want me to take supplements,…

For Upsofloating from Songflower Regarding Gemzar
am taking Gemzar and doing very well on it. I don't know if it's working yet. I read you didn't have premeds. Does that mean you didn't have steroids? What drives me crazy is the steroids and hamster nights and then the crash down. It's hard to do weekly. I'd love to try it without the dexamethasone. Diane
